Another Holy War
“The city of Nevermore, once a shining beacon of the Kingdom of Elandar, now lies in ruins. It’s walls crushed, its protectors slain, and its once proud people lost to the tests of time. And, although I would like to tell you more, I am sad to say that this is all I know for sure as there are few that know the true nature of the events that brought about its ruin.
Yet, I can say that I have heard stories. Stories that say that the city was an unfortunate victim of its own success. For the trade routes on which the city lies were of significant strategic importance to the Empire, the Kira, the Vitae, the Fae, and the Unfae and many believe that this alone was the cause of the city’s fall. And, as the story goes, it was the combined might of these factions that annihilated the city as each hoped to be the first to claim it for themselves.”
